Emma Browning, Managing Director
Emma has almost 20 years of management consulting experience. She founded Paradox in 2016 after a decade with a national consulting firm to create impact in the community where she lives. She is passionate about creating productive organizations, enabling innovation, and changing systems. Her past clients include a number of Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft, Cisco and Caterpillar plus complex organizations like the National Football League, research universities, and health systems. Emma frequently volunteers in leadership roles with local education and business organizations. She has a BA from Wake Forest University and MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her kids and family, and exploring the dynamic business and arts scene in the Triangle.
Katherine Nobles, Senior Consultant
Katherine has nearly 15 years of experience in career, leadership, and organizational development. She is passionate about helping create positive and productive organizations that support innovation, change, and employee growth and development. As a former university career educator and learning and development professional, Katherine has created and led a wide variety of skill-building workshops, cohort programs, train-the-trainer, and employee onboarding programs. She holds a B.A. in Communication from Virginia Tech and M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from William & Mary. When not consulting, you can find Katherine exploring the outdoors, enjoying a yoga class, or chasing after her toddler and puppy.
Chandler Posey, Senior Associate Consultant
Chandler joined the Paradox team in 2021, infusing our team with his extensive travels abroad and a background in community development. Chandler brings a thoughtful and multifaceted perspective to our work with clients and our work as a B-corp. He is a proud graduate of Elon University, holding a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration. Beyond his professional achievements, Chandler enjoys finding inspiration in the limitless realms of science fiction and practicing mixed martial arts. As a seasoned traveler, Chandler has explored seven different countries, with his favorites being Singapore and Cuba.

Haven Cockerham, Cockerham & Associates
Haven is a seasoned Chief Human Resources Officer with 35 years of experience with Fortune 250 companies in the automotive, electric utility and printing industries. Haven currently is President of Cockerham & Associates, a human capital strategy company, and President of Stratus TMS, a human capital software development company. Previously, he was Chief Human Resources Officer for RR Donnelley, an $8 billion print and communications company. He has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from North Carolina A & T State University and an MBA from Michigan State University’s Executive MBA Program.
Alan Echtenkamp, Slingshot Leadership
Alan is an organizational psychologist and founder of Slingshot Leadership. He has 25 years of experience helping leaders create high performing teams that drive growth and profitability. He has worked with senior executives across multiple industries in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Prior to launching Slingshot Leadership, Alan was the head of global talent management for Time Warner Inc. for 10 years and worked in consulting firms Mercer HR Consulting and Sibson Consulting. He has published multiple articles and book chapters in both scholarly and mainstream press. Alan earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University and his B.A. from Purdue University.
Jim Kochanski, High Performance Profiles
Jim is Managing Director of High Performance Profiles an Organization Effectiveness consultancy. Jim seeks to understand an organization's performance needs and then design the simplest yet complete solutions for improving performance. His areas of focus are clarifying organizational strategic direction and design of organizations to accomplish strategies. For 20 years, Jim was a Senior Partner in Sibson Consulting, a Division of The Segal Group. During his time with Sibson, he served as Practice Leader for Performance and Rewards, Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness. Prior to Sibson, Jim had positions with Nortel, Quaker Oats, and Kelloggs. He has a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Maryland and Master’s degree from American University. He is the author of over 40 professional publications. He is on the board of The Alzheimer's Association for central Texas.
Joleen Spencer Oladeinde, Spencer Oladeinde Associates
Joleen is a marketing and communications professional with over 30 years of experience in financial services, small business and community development. She has consulted on domestic and international projects, providing support and recommendations on marketing and branding, diversity and inclusion, and business strategy. Joleen is a skilled meeting facilitator and has guided foundations, nonprofits and start-up businesses in plan development and team effectiveness. Joleen previously served as Senior Vice President, Marketing at ShoreBank, the country’s first community development and environment bank. Prior to that, she held marketing and lending positions with BMO Harris Bank and Citibank. Joleen served on the foundation board of BMO Harris Bank, several nonprofit boards including the National Black MBA Association and she is active in her church ministry in Chicago. She graduated from Iowa State University, BS in Journalism and Mass Communications and holds an MBA degree from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
Jami Yazdani, Yazdani Consulting and Facilitation
Jami is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) with more than 15 years of experience managing a portfolio of innovative projects and planning initiatives. She has a proven track record of leading diverse and collaborative teams, excels at facilitating consensus and keeping (even reluctant) teams on track, and has extensive experience designing and delivering engaging training sessions. After a diverse career spanning roles in business, libraries, and public higher education, Jami started Yazdani Consulting and Facilitation in 2018 to help mission-driven organizations solve management problems. She has actively served on the boards of several nonprofits and professional associations. Jami holds a BA in Government and Politics from George Mason University, a Master's of Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University, and a Master's of Technology Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
